 The Executive Members of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) don direct their members say make dem begin work for di nation's seaports and oil and gas platforms.


Last week, di union bin give order say make all di nation's seaports, jetties, oil and gas platforms, and terminals close sake of say dem dey follow di organized labor directive for di indefinite strike wey suppose start on Tuesday, October 3.


Di President-General of MWUN, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, for one statement wey e release for Monday night, talk say dem don agree with di government and di strike no go hold again.


E talk say, "Di Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and di Trade Union Congress (TUC) don jointly suspend di indefinite strike wey suppose start on October 3, 2023, sake of di removal of fuel subsidy.


"Dem bin don tell dia affiliate member Unions across di country say make dem mobilize and shutdown di country sake of say di government no wan listen to di seven-point demand wey di NLC and TUC give, to reduce di suffering wey di Nigerian workers and di poor masses dey go through," di statement wey MWUN media head, Com John Kennedy Ikemefuna sign.
